Cross-country skiing

Cross-country skiing is one of the really traditional sports in our region. Although the snow conditions have been unpredictable in recent years, it does not mean that we would like to exclude cross-country skiing from the list of Vír activities. The opposite is true. In cooperation with the authorities and local athletes, we intend, if the weather allows it only a little, to open unique cross-country tracks between Vír and Dalečín. The path leading along the right bank of the Vír lake would automatically rank among the most beautiful cross-country tracks in the Czech Republic! From Dalečín you can easily connect to the Nové Město na Moravě tracks in Míchov (it is a short walk from the upper lift station). If you are looking for a full-fledged ski facility, drive to Nové Město na Moravě, the local Vysočina Arena probably does not need to be described to most people because it serves as the venue for the World Cup races.
